What is Lectio?
Lectio is named after the centuries-old spiritual discipline known as lectio divina, which is Latin for "divine reading." The goal of lectio divina is to approach God's Word for formation rather than merely for information.
After pausing to settle deeply into God's presence, the reader picks a passage of Scripture and reads through it until God causes a specific word or phrase from the passage to come to the forefront of their attention. They then pray through this word or phrase until God has impressed it onto their hearts and into their lives.
Lectio's clothing takes phrases of Scripture that God has impressed upon my heart and into my life and it uses art to do the same thing for whoever wears it.

How Lectio Shares the Word
By wearing Lectio, you are saying that you want God's Word to be written on your heart. But God's Word is never intended to bless only us. We are blessed to be a blessing.
That's why 50% of all net profits from Lectio go directly to Pioneer Bible Translators, who work alongside numerous Bible translating and church planting organizations to bring God's Word to people around the world in their native languages for the first time. Pioneer Bible Translators is an exceptionally well-run and financially transparent organization, so you can rest assured that these proceeds will bear fruit.
